    Abstract
This chapter discusses the evolution of the advocacy coalition framework (ACF) over the past several years. Originally an intellectual construct for beginning to understand how different actors work together through the policy process to implement change in US environmental policy, the framework now has an international dimension in terms of its level of reach and application. Specifically, this chapter addresses the internationalization of the ACF framework and how changes have been made to expand the applicability and scope of the analytical construct.
