Evaluation of precision land leveling and double zero-till systems in the rice-wheat rotation: Water use, productivity, profitability and soil physical properties

Abstract

This paper examines the interaction between agricultural technologies for conservation and for land leveling through the use of laser technology. The article reports on the results of a two year field study, finding that when applied in the conservation agriculture system, laser or precision land leveling leads to increased water retention in the soil.
