The Town of Woodstock requested assistance in creating an attractive gateway to the Town that is more welcoming to visitors. Although the Route 42 corridor is convenient for travelers to make a quick stop, the Town would like to entice visitors to explore more of their charming town. 1 The Community Design Assistance Center worked with the Town of Woodstock to create a gateway conceptual design from the Interstate 81 interchange to South Main Street (US Route 11) along Route 42 that addressed landscaping and signage. The team also prepared supporting sketches, planting recommendations, and a landscape maintenance plan.
