    Abstract
Properly determining the exact load carrying capacity of a pallet is essential to ensure the effectiveness of the supply chain. Multiple testing procedures are published by different organizations and all could be used to estimate the load capacity of pallets. This presentation covers the differences between various ASTM, ISO, and AIAG pallet testing standards, shows the design requirements required by big box stores, and shows how the load carrying capacity depends on the type of load carried by the pallet.
