Abstract
Racial inequalities have taken a negative toll on the lives of many Black Americans despite the efforts of a number of organizations whose goal is to bring equality to those who have been disenfranchised. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York found that more than 40% of Black-owned businesses in the US closed between February and April of 2020 which is equal to 440,000 Black business owners. The same report found 17% of white-owned businesses realized the same fate.
