This article analyzes the technical efficiency of different types of farms and how they are affected by circular labor migration to South African mines from Lesotho. Increasing our understanding of the relationship between these variables can help address the problem of the declining agricultural output per capita and food supply in this area. Through analysis of the technical efficiency of different farms, this study draws conclusions about how changing migration patterns will affect productivity and food security in this region of Africa.en
