dc.description.abstractHere are some takeaways from the discussion among members of HSMAI's Revenue Optimization Advisory Board regarding private accommodations like Airbnb and VRBO are recovering faster than hotels. Some of them said that the number tells; Revenue, Occupancy, and overall transaction volume though it needs to be justified with additional metrics. Secondly, Customer trends changed quickly due to the pandemic to favoring less interaction with others. Also, there was an experiment, 'Marriott Homes & Villas' to sell the large, self-contained units from the hotel industry and it went successful actually.en
