dc.description.abstractNew driver-warning technology, developed by Antoine G. Hobeika of Blacksburg, professor of civil and environmental engineering in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech, alerts drivers when they attempt to conduct illegal passing maneuver in dangerous no-passing zones. Currently, this technology is being tested on Route 114, located in Christiansburg, Va. By stopping violators before they attempt to pass, deadly accidents can be avoided.en
