The purpose of this report is to collect, synthesize, and organize available information on college career readiness (CCR) in South Carolina set in a national context. The report begins by providing a definition and description of the issue in a broad, national context followed by an exploration of how South Carolina approaches CCR. The remainder of the report examines the state of CCR in South Carolina by describing state indicators, policy outlining state goals and expectations, pathways and supports in high school and postsecondary education, programs and initiatives across SC, and the role of business in CCR efforts. Following these areas, the report concludes by describing future directions, namely implications for practice, policy, and future research.en
