Ornamental Pest Control provides professional horticulturists with information about pest management. The sections devoted to pest and host identification are specific for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The same is true for the pest management options discussed. Both chemical and nonchemical management strategies are included. This manual describes how to use pesticides properly when establishing and maintaining ornamental plantings. Pesticides applied to ornamentals must be effective. However, pesticide applications must be carefully managed so they are safe for animals, humans, and the environment.en
