Google has changed its hotel advertising model to accommodate for a more "user friendly" model. They are switching from paid advertisements to advertising freely to ensure user have the most accurate information before booking. Google will use a specific algorithm generated by clicks and popularity of specific listings. It is hopeful hotels will be able to directly update their own rates in the future. Although Google will lose advertising money, they believe it will be worth it from a product standpoint in the long run. Google is modeling this change off of how they re-produced their flight searches.en
