Abstract
Describes the fungal disease Corn Smut (Ustilago maydis), and discusses the disease cycle, methods for controlling the disease, or lessening the severity. Also advises about the selection of hybrid varieties that are somewhat resistant to this disease, and lists some of these varieties, and also some varieties that are highly susceptible to this fungal disease.
