dc.description.abstractRisk aversion is stipulated as an explanation for non-adoption of yield-improving technologies. This poster presents research conducted in Tororo and Kapchrowa, Uganda to determine farmers’ risk averseness. A hypothetical ordered lottery selection was used in order to measure risk aversion. The research finds that farmers are less willing to take on risk when they have had previous success.en
