Abstract

Conifers, also known as narrow-leaved or needled evergreens, are planted primarily for the attractiveness of their evergreen foliage. The variety of sizes, shapes, and colors available contributes to their popularity. The conifers commonly grown can be divided into the nine plant groups described in this publication.
