Abstract

The interactive, traveling exhibit, "Allies for Inclusion: The Ability Exhibit," was on display in Virginia Tech's Newman Library, second floor commons area, from October 1st through 7th, 2015. The opening reception was held on October 1st, 2015 from 10 am to noon at the Newman Library, 560 Drillfield Drive, Blacksburg, VA 24061. The video of the opening reception features speakers Pamela Vickers, Tyler Walters, and Jana Doyle.

Initiated by Saint Louis University's Anne Marie Carroll and developed by other graduate students studying disability in higher education and society under the direction of Karen Myers, Ph.D., The Ability Exhibit launched in 2010. This traveling exhibit is designed to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities through respect for others, comfort during interactions, and awareness of disability issues.
