Abstract
Black hospitality executives declined 5% from 2019 throughout 2020. The percentage of Black executives across roughly 801 hotel companies remains only at 11%. The importance of exemplifying inclusion across the hotel industry has only increase as the labor shortages continue to be an issue within the United States. Industry leaders understand that it is more important than ever to display a picture of diversity and inclusion to attract the professionals they would like to continue to build the industry back up for future generations.
