Investors have lost faith in Airbnb's model, trader says with stock down nearly 40% from highs

Although Airbnb's shares have dropped 36% since February and experts across Wall Street seem to have given up on the home-sharing model, it still remains better positioned than the top five hotel brands combined. However, VBRO has become an unlikely competitor as they have a larger presence across the vacation rental sphere of the market. Vacation rentals are up giving the demand of pent up travel and only time will tell how Airbnb fairs across the next two quarters.
