This brochure discusses Virginia's ground water. It explains the importance of ground water; the ground water in different physiographic provinces around the state; and how it can be affected by septic systems, pesticides, underground storage tanks, bulk storage, waste, disposal, abandoned wells, nutrients, mining, and saltwater intrusion.
