Abstract

The article mainly investigates three aspects: 1. Vietnamese coffee producers' living situation, desires, and reactions to the changes in their industry, and the potential for them (and in particular the poor) to improve their living situation; 2. The situation of and potential for coffee production in Viet Nam as a whole and Dak Lak in particular; and 3. The policy changes needed to strengthen economic development and reduce the poverty of Vietnamese coffee producers.
