Abstract
In nature, each species produces a larger quantity of offspring than needed for replacement. From this larger quantity, nature selects quality, or the fittest individuals for the specific ecologic niche the species holds. If the population increases at a rate faster than the resources, the death rate will increase until the population size is contained within the habitat s carrying capacity for that species.
