Hannu Biyu Ke Tchuda Juna-Strength in Unity: Shared management of common property resources. A case study from Takieta, Niger

The Takieta Forest Reserve covers an area of 6720 hectares in the south east of Niger. It is the largest uncultivated area in the region and is, for the agricultural and pastoral people who use it, a very important source of pasture and tree products. In the forty-five years since it was classified, social and climatic change has brought about more intensive and anarchic use by many more people.
