dc.description.abstract | A 2020 study done by Hcareers noted that 65.5% of hotel employees view the hotel industry as diverse. However, those who completed the survey who were not white viewed the hotel industry's stance on diversity differently. The Bureau of Labor & Statistics recently found that 80.9% of hotel management positions are held by white employees, adversely compared to the 7% of management positions held by black or African American employees within the hotel industry. Hcareers is working with the hotel brands to publish their updated positions on Diversity & Inclusion with Marriott and Hilton leading the example for the industry. | en |
