The state of diversity in the hospitality industry

Abstract

The hospitality industry is not the only industry to fall behind with inclusion across all levels of the hierarchy leadership pyramid. Studies indicate that the education and retail industries also lag behind. However, with continued research regarding better business for more diverse companies, it is difficult to see the hospitality industry still struggling to place diverse candidates in senior level roles. Unfortunately, more than 80% of companies have a Diversity & Inclusion strategy that they are simply not using.
