Insights from AHLA ForWard at Hunter Hotel Investment Conference: Women @ the Top

Abstract

The Hunter Hotel Investment Conference was the first major hospitality conference to make it's return since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The American Hotel & Lodging Association's ForWard Committee panel highlighted the lunch segment of the conference. Members of the ForWard Advisory Committee were panelists expressing the massive number of women, nearly 2.4 million, have left the workforce since the start of the pandemic. The panelist explained the importance of mentorship between women to lift each other up throughout the industry. The panelists also noted the importance of focusing on the job at hand and not getting too caught up in the potential of future bumps along the road.
