Abstract
This is an ecotourism project based in the Ugandan Mabira forest. It was started by the National Forest Authority (NFA) and revenue and activities are shared between the NFA and local communities. The original project was started in 1996, with an additional ecotourism grant issued by the GEF in 2005 to further ecotourism in the area as well as conservation education activities.
