Abstract
The Federal Aviation Administration, FAA, has plans to deploy a major software program at 27 major airports in the U.S. that will reduce the time spent taxiing for takeoff, thus reducing fuel consumption and cost. The project begins in 2022 with Phoenix and Charlotte airports as the first two. The program will take roughly 10 years to be implemented at all of the 27 currently planned airports.
