This report describes, in considerable detail, the implementation of a Prolog compiler on a VAX. This implementation is modeled after Warren's Abstract Machine (WAM) for Prolog. The report clarifies and gives examples of the most important concepts in Warren's dissertation. In this regard, this report serves as a tutorial for others who wish to implement a Prolog compiler.en
