dc.description.abstractA rigorous treatment of the symmetric multigroup transport equation is given by developing the functional calculus for the transport operator. Von Neumann spectral theory is applied to nonorthogonal cyclic subspaces, and the isometries onto C (N) are explicitly evaluated.en
