Abstract
Luxury travel has long been a focus for the LGBTQ community, and the IGLTA recently hosted a panel discussion on how this market is adapting in the midst of the pandemic. •There was roughly $100 billion worth of travel in the U.S. in 2019 from the LGBTQ community alone. It is important for travel companies to listen and learn from customers. •In the short term, luxury travel be skewed to wealthier countries with better health care systems. Hot spots may include New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and the Galapagos Islands; the commonality among those will smaller group settings, more intimate experiences.
