The Conservation Corporation (ConsCorp) was created to protect biodiversity in Africa for ecotourism. It was created in 1991 on the Phina Resource Reserve and is currently operating in South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe, with plans to expand further. ConsCorp manages lands they have either purchased or leased from local owners. The company has a vested interest in maintaining protected areas for tourist attraction. In addition, it also contributes to community development by employing as many local people as possible.en
