dc.description.abstract | Using an extensive data set collected in the study area this paper develops a Social Accounting matrix model for the Madiama commune within the Mopti region in northern Mali, in order to better understand and analyze: (a) the linkages among different stakeholders and institutions, (b) growth interactions between sectors in the commune, and (c) the impact of potential conflict mitigation policies. Policy scenarios are evaluated in order to provide information to the commune, which is the administrative unit that is empowered to make natural resource management decisions. | en |
