Abstract
The National Park of American Samoa was created in 1993 when the US government entered into a 50 yr lease with the governor of American Samoa. The purpose of the park was to protect the tropical forest, associated reefs, biodiversity protection, and protection of the archaeological and cultural resources of American Samoa.
