Evolutionary spirituality is defined as an integral way of thinking and being in a world grounded in a personal, meaningful experience of the epic of evolution as one s own creation myth, or cosmological sacred story. Humans, just as every other species, are subject to natural laws. Evolutionary processes favor the continuation of life, but not necessarily for all individuals or species. If humans behavior norms do not change quickly, this new Ecozoic era could lead to mass human deaths. This catastrophe could result in an awakening of spirituality or, alternatively, a _tooth and claw battle for scarce resources.en
