Abstract
Cover crops provide many diverse assets. By providing additional residue (carbon) and plant biodiversity, cover crops can improve the overall quality of soil and surrounding ecosystem. Cover crops slow soil erosion, make the soil more compact, increases organic matter, helps water infiltration and runoff, suppresses weeds, helps decomposition, and insect control
