It is estimated by McKinsey Global Institute that the world could add $12 trillion to the annual gross domestic product by 2025, 11% higher than it would be under the business as usual scenario. MGI has a follow-up paper that provides an agenda for action and investment, quantifying the process needed on 15 gender-inequality indicators.
