Education: A Powerful Asset For Single Mothers

In 2005, the Economic Self-Reliance Center (ESR Center) at Brigham Young University partnered with the Single Mom Foundation of Salt Lake City, Utah, to create the Single Mom Initiative, a multi-year, multi-disciplinary research effort with the goal of improving knowledge about the unique challenges facing single mothers and creating best practice policies. In this regard, the report presents the main findings of a survey conducted in 2007.
