Preliminary report on a study of minor element needs of growing swine in Virginia

Rates of gain and hemoglobins were lower in the pigs receiving no trace mineral. When the first ration was supplanted with copper the rate of gain increased to a level beyond that of pigs receiving trace mineral mixture.
