An ensuing vacuum, with the loss of 32 precious lives, led to tears, questions and mourning. Heartbreak reverberated around the world. Soon came a renewed Hokie spirit – “ We Will Prevail, We Will Prevail. We are Virginia Tech!” ( said Nikki Giovanni) The men and women of Volvo Trucks North America, Volvo Trucks’ Global Manufacturing, Mack Trucks, Inc., and the New River Valley Plant feel the emotion, pain and pride. We extend our sincere, heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, and to each member of the Virginia Tech family. At this point in history – each of us are truly members of the Hokie Nation.
