Abstract
This theoretical article attempts to build the concept of space into the discussion of globalization. Amin reveals how globalization is a function of the "deepening and stretching of social relations across space and time" through the increased connectivity of actor networks in such a way that allows seemingly small actions to have significant impacts in other parts of the world. The reality of this conceptualization is demonstrated through a discussion of the urban economy in the globalized society.
