The Talent Search (TS) program is one of the Federal TRIO Programs — a group of seven outreach programs funded by the U.S. Department of Education (Department). The goal of TS is to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education, and to help these students progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to postsecondary degree attainment. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to college. This report provides facts in regard to the program.en
