Marriott is Setting Up a Hospitality Leadership Program at Howard University

Marriott hotels family chain foundation has made an endowment of $20 million to Howard University, a historically Black college, and university, to create the Marriott-Sorenson Center for Hospitality Leadership Program. This program hopes to foster leadership excellence and help drive greater inclusion at the most senior levels of the hospitality industry. Howard University states this program will be a game-changer for the Howard University students and the hospitality industry by designing unique opportunities that meet the future demands of the industry.
