California Governor Gavin Newsome has put travel and tourism professionals in a bind by note clearly outlining guidelines towards re-opening the state and welcoming events back. The CVBs across California have been scrambling to maintain business and have had to beg clients to not cancel their meetings. Every month that California is closed to the travel and tourism industries, $4.1 billion is lost. The travel industry sent a letter, representing over 130 businesses, requesting Newsome to release clearer standards to get their teams back to work and generating revenue.en
