This presentation introduces the benefits of using reproductive technologies for species preservation and conservation. It highlights the complementary aspects of this approach to that of habitat conservation techniques. It outlines some of the methods of reproductive biology that are being utilized in species protection. The presentation then covers an overview of the Community Markets for Conservation (COMACO) model and the steps that Cornell University is taking to develop conservation strategies in Zambia.en
