Abstract
Education has always been seen as one means of upward mobility, especially for those who are socially and economically disadvantaged. Hispanic children are likely to be at an educational disadvantage relative to whites for several reasons, including a greater likelihood of living in poverty and lower average levels of parental education. This report points out some trends in Hispanic educational access, achievement, and attainment.
