Abstract

This book describes the conservation of plant varieties through the care of home breeders and small growers. Offering both a scientific and human perspective in discussions of biodiversity and the tales and stories of the people who conserve and develop their unique seed varies, the book argues that these small growers are vital to biodiversity conservation in agriculture.
