Abstract
To reduce the risk of timber theft, all property boundaries should be properly marked and maintained. Well-marked boundary lines protect the landowner, as well as owners of adjoining property. They also help timber buyers and loggers makeaccu rate determinations of acreage and help prevent any accidental trespass. Having a written contract which specifies all aspects of the deals including buyer/landowner responsibilities also reduces timber theft.
