Hate crimes against Asian Americans rose 150% since 2019. The increase in hate crimes signaled event professionals across every industry to take a stand. It is imperative that event professionals are choosing friendly cities and clearly noting that any form of discrimination against attendees will not be tolerated. Planners can work with DMO and CVBs across the country to select the cities that they will be hosting their next event to ensure it meets the equality and inclusion requirements for all attendees.en
