dc.description.abstractA relaxor-to-normal, or micro-to-macrodomain, transition in Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3O3)-xPbTiO(3), has been found under electric fields applied along [001] for x >= 0.24. It is shown that an intermediate tetragonal ferroelectric phase is important to the sharpness of this transition, as observed in its dielectric response. (c) 2006 American Institute of Physics.en
