dc.description.abstractIrrigated vs. non-irrigated peaches sent into project headquarters by Mr. R.W. Wilkins, District Conservationist, Blue Ridge District. The larger peaches were selected from trees irrigated in Aug. 1946; the small from trees in the same row but no receiving water. Soil and other factors apparently identical. Electric pump lifts water 75' from farm pond to the size acre peach orchard. Owner believes that water at the right time has meant between two and three thousand dollars to him o both his 1944 and 1946 crops.en
