Abstract

This report provides information about postsecondary students in Minnesota who are from low-income families. Low-income students often encounter multiple challenges when it comes to postsecondary education compared to students who are not low income. Challenges may include insufficient academic preparation in K-12, lack of family experience in postsecondary education, lack of financial resources, misperceptions about financial aid and limited support services to assist them in successfully enrolling in and completing college.
